  • 1.  How to match Sharepoint tags with DLPv12

    Posted Nov 25, 2013 02:59 PM

    HI everyone,

It's my first time working with the Symantec DLP solution but have some experience with another brands.

I'm deploying the dlp suite but found a problem integrating the sharepoint. Sharepoint adds two tags to every document you upload: Confidentiality and Severity. I need to find a way to create a policy based on these two tags, however, I don't know how to validate them with the DLP. Have someone tried this before?, Any idea to do this?,

    Thanks,

    Jorge

I think you can enable the DLP to detect the metadata inside the document.

Sure I can, but this tag is not added to the file but used by the sharepoint to categorize it.

    Hi Valenzuela,

I am in the same situation, did you find a solution?

    Thanks

    Hi Yazan,

I'm sorry. Haven't found the solution yet. Support team says the solution does not support sharepoint tag recognition. So bad considering that it's one way Sharepoint uses to classify documents.

Does anyone know if this will be supported on a future release?
