How to modify a .v2i Image without loading it on a PC...
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 2 comments
I do not know if this is possible. But this is what I want to do. I have images ( backups ) of PC's and I want to load them up virtually and update the content then save it back to the network. I noticed that my VMware picks up couple of the 8.5 Images but not the older ones. Can someone point me into the right direction. Thanks

V2i was the extension of the "Power Quest Drive image", symantec bought it a few years ago.

Claudio, It is not possible
Claudio,
It is not possible to modify an existing BESR image file (.v2i, iv2i). You can bring up the image in a VM or lay the image down, modify it, then recreate the image file using BESR. This will create a new image file (.v2i extension).
