How to move from a clustered enterprise vault setup to a standalone enterprise vault server setup

This issue has been solved. See solution.
We have enterprise vault servers (version 9.0.4) running in a two-node active passive cluster setup. We would like to get rid of the clustered setup and move on to a standalone server. Could anyone please advise on the process?

You could do a Data Only DR to a non-clustered EV server. Should be pretty simple.

I am not moving to a different server. I would like to use the cluster nodes for the standalone EV server. Is there a way to uninstall clustering from the cluster nodes?
The best way to go is to just do a DR onto one of the physical nodes.
So for example.
1. Detach the physical disks used for index, vault stores etc. Take a note of their drive letters.
2. Re-install windows from scratch onto one of the physical nodes.
3. Attach the disks again with appropriate drive letters.
Re-install EV and do a DR using the recovery method of Data only backups from the Admin guide (there is also a tech article on how to do this, http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO37415). Use the old EV Cluster Network name as the NETBIOS name of the new server.
