Replace the sylink.xml

Replace the sylink.xml file of the new SEPM on the client

sylink.xmlfile location on SEPM is \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Data\Outbox\Agent\{xxxxxxxxxxxxxx}\sylink.xml
on the alphanumeric folder open the  Profile.xml to find out sylink.xml is for which Group. ( or look in SEPM Highligh the group and click details you will find policy serial number )

OCopy the sylink.xml on the client
go to start - run -smc -stop
paste the sylink.xml to program files\symantec\symantec nedpoint protection or Symantec antivirus folder
then
Start - run - smc -start

The client will start reporting to new SEPM

Another possible solution...

Hi.

if you can't go in every machine to replace the sylink.xml file, you can do it remotly thanks to this easy procedure of re-deployment:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security....

Or you can call our Support to obtain our tool "sylink replacer" for free to remotly replace only the sylink.xml file.

There are only these three solutions (including the one provided by Vikram), select the best option for you and mark it as the solution for this discussion.

Cheers,

Regards,

Giuseppe
