  • 1.  How to move existing clients to new Console

    Hi,

My company (C) was sold from company A to company B. Before my company C didn't have Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console locally. It was hosted at the company A. After we were sold to compnay B, we got new licensing for the clients and installed a new console on ur company C. My issue is that I need to move the existing clients to our new console. I tried to deploy the communication Update Package Deployment and also try to use the Slyink tools with no success because the clients are asking for password. I cannot install the clients without the password (the password belongs to company A).

I could try to remove the password on the client by doing some tricks but I don't want to do it on each client.

    What are my alternatives?

Can you remove the password requirement or if you deploy a new sylink, you can put in the password there

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

Time being use old password which is working in your case & after successful transition of clients set the new passwords immediately.

    OR

Remove the SEP client completely and do a fresh install. It's not practical if number clients are many.
