  • 1.  how to move SEPM to new Server

    Basics;

    ran out of space on C on server and want to move it to another server. Running SEPM v12 on both.

    Tried doing replication method, (Installing additional site, but get error half way when replicating database...)

    The database service stops' on machine 1 during this process and get error on new server..

     

    Can I just stop all symantec services and copy over the sem5 database to the new server?? Or are their other steps?

    get error unable to connect to server specified after about 10 minutes

    Instead Replication,try performing disaster recovery which will give you good results...

    since you are adding as an replication partner, the new SEPM does not have any information, hence you can install the SEPM on a new drive which has free space. Initial replication will be big in size.
