  • 1.  How to Move SEPM SQL 2005 from one Drive to another Drive

    Posted Jul 21, 2010 08:06 AM
    Hi,

I am facing low disk space issue. I have installed SEPM and SQL 2005 in same drive. Now 450mb only available. Can some one suggest me how to move Database from one drive to another drive. Now the server is in live as well more than 500 users reporting to this.

Also replication happening between this to Central server.

cannot be done , you need to uninstall and reinstall it to d drive and then you can restore the db.

I think this is what you need to do

    Hi All,

I have done database movement from one drive to another drive in Same machine.

    1. Login to SQL.

    2. We can move 2 ways (Take a backup (sem5.db) and restore in different drive or right click the database (sem5.db) take offline and remove the database. Then move the database to different drive and attach.)

    3. Before doing this activity make sure you shoud have proper permission.

I tested in live environment and its works fine past one month.
