  • 1.  How to Move specific systems from different groups to a particular group

    Hi All,

     

    We have more than 200 groups in our SEPM which are having 32,000 clients.
    I want to move specific systems (nearly 600 systems) which do not have common criteria to a new group.
    I have only systems list to be moved to new group.

    Use the moveclients.vbs script, is located on CD2 in \Tools\NoSupport\MoveClient

    Check the PDF in there as well for full usage.

    You can export the communication setting of that group and deploy on clients

    Step to export the sylink

    Open the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console.

    Go to the Clients page. Note: On Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1 Small Business edition, the Clients page is named Computers.

    Right-click the desired group (e.g. Default group) and choose Export communications settings.

    Click Browse, and choose a convenient location to save the file.

    Rename the file to sylink.xml.

    Click Save.

    Follow the below article to move it in that group
