I'm in the process of putting together a project proposal for an upgrade from SEP 11 to SEP 12. When SEP 11 was put in place it was definitely not setup per best practices so there's a good amount of work that needs to be done. One of the things that has come up is proper GUP sizing. I'm interested in following best practices for utilizing GUPs and so far all I have found for best practices have equated size relative to the amount of content revisions that are kept. My question is how much drive space do I need to request for each one of these GUPs? Assuming I stick with the best practice of 42 content revisions. From my calculations it appears like its about 10GB. But I want to be sure. Does anyone have any experience with this? What has everyone found as an appropriate amount of available space? Primary goal is to make sure the clients are not contacting the SEPM for content updates since most of our locations are sitting behind slow satellite connections for WAN access back to the SEPM.
Thanks,
Mike
