  • 1.  How to purge detected application ?

    Posted Aug 04, 2014 02:59 AM

    Hi there,

I'm searching a solution about to block IE8. It's okay for it, i found it on forum. But i must have the file signature. I applied a policy for all computers, so i have the list for all iexplore.exe (ie8 - ie9 - ie10 - ie11 etc) and i cant truly found ie8 in all of this. So i created an "UO" dedicated for xp to found only ie8.

BUT ! SEPM doesnt allow to purge detected application. How can i do to reset/purge it ?

    list.jpg

    Thanks in advance !

You setup an application to monitor within the exception policy, correct? If so there is no option to purge.

    Hi Brian,

Thats right, its an exception policy monitoring.

Bad news for me. How can i clear this list ?

Example svchost.exe as malware, i have so many answer from sepm. It must be a trick ?!

Symantec just never think about this ?

    Thanks

From the SEPM, there is no option.

Maybe from thedatabase side but I would check with Symantec first.

There is no option to purge from the SEPM. Sorry.
