I am using Symantec Management Platform 7 with full features. The default resource hierarchy is as follows:
Resource\Asset\Network Resource\Computer.
Computer resource has 'Computer Type' associate type. The default value for 'Computer Type' is Server, Workstation, Test.
When the inventory solution scans the network and finds a new device, it creates a new resource as 'Computer'. I can edit the new resource and update the 'Computer Type' field as 'Server' or 'Workstation'.
Q#1. How can I query the assets based on the 'Computer Type' value?
Q#2. If I want to add more values to 'Computer Type', for example, 'Blade', 'Rackmount', how to achieve it? I am not able to edit 'Computer Type' value probably because it is the default class.
Q#3. Any default report based on 'Computer Type' value?
