  • 1.  How to read SEPM Logs from SymHelp

    Posted Apr 22, 2013 04:34 AM

    Hey Guys,

Most of the time when I'm on a deep problem Symantec Support asks me to gather logs with SymHelp, and normally it will take a day before the result will appear, can anyone send me a link where I can learn to read logs using symhelp so I can do it myself?

    Thanks,

    The Report Page
If you are experiencing an issue with a supported Symantec product select the Report page button to see a list of issue reports. These reports are grouped into the following sections:

    ·         Errors lists individual problems found by the tool. Click each error for detailed information.
    ·         Warnings, which are issues that warrant some attention but which probably are not critical.
    ·         OK lists items which passed the checks that the tool ran against them.

When you open SymHelp, there is the option , File >> Open Report which will open a created report for you.

Aside from that, I believe Symantec has an internal tool that they use to see the logs. I don't believe it is a publicly available tool.
