How to reimage a disk from a VERY OLD Ghost file?

Created: 11 Jan 2013 | 2 comments

I received a trial use of Ghost Console for evaluation of a backup and imaging project we were considering. We didn't proceed with this, but during the course of the trial created some images that (happily) never got deleted. Now we have had a hardware failure that caused loss of our backup, combined with crash of one of our user's machine, and we are trying to learn if there is a product that can allow us to reimage a system using a GHO file that was created in 2009, using Ghost Console 11.0.1.1553

Thanks in advance for advice/help!

John

You could download Deployment Server for Clients from the trialware link here:

You should get a 30 day licence and it should be able to deploy GHO images.

Just curious...did the deployment solution work.  I have found it always best to only restore images with the exact same version of ghost.  Windows images are less picky but linux restores hate mismatched versions.
