    Posted Sep 15, 2010 06:47 PM

I have a client PC that runs a managed client of SEP 11.0.6. The protection technologies instsalled are "Antivirus and Antispyware" " Proactive Threat Protection" and "Network Threat Protection".

I would liek to remove "Network threat Protection"

How can i do this using the SEPM console. Thanks.

You can't remove via the SEPM console. You need to remove thru add/remove programs or create a new package and exclude NTP component.

You could create a new package without NTP and assign as an install package but the client would need to be on an older version (ex. 11.0.5 client, 11.0.6 SEPM) sp this would be an upgrade.

A workaround for your question is:

Create a new group, change the configuration of this group as 'disable NTP', and move the client to this group. By this way, you don't need to uninstall the NTP component on the client, and the NTP will not work on the client.

You could push another client install package to that computer, with features PTP and AV/AS only.

in case you add a new install package, what happens if the same version is already applied?
