  • 1.  how to remove a client created with a bootdisk

guys I cloned one of my boxes with a client boot disk, after creating the image I started to install clients on machines using the console, but every time I try to reinstall the client on the box that I ghosted, client installation comes back with "failed to install, client already installed".....but even though it knows the client is installed it wont show on the console, so I'm not able to use that machine through the console........does anybody knows what's the right procedure in this case? or how to go about removing the previous client from this particular machine?

    Thanks everyone

    Hi Jorge,

What version of Ghost do you use? Even if the client is installed, remote client installation should be able to overinstall the client again.

What version of Ghost client is installed in the image? Could it be a newer version of the client than the Console?

However, easiest way to move the client to the new Console is to copy the pubkey.crt from Ghost Console (from \program files\Symantec\Ghost folder) to the client (\program files\Symantec\Ghost folder) and restart the client.
