This issue has been solved. See solution.
I am currently uninstalling symantec in windows7. It was successfully remove in add/remove program. When I try to reinstall, the application was terminated by ProtectionUtilSurrogate. How can I reinstall AV if ProtectionUtilSurrogate's service is present.

This is a forum for ticketing software -- you will want to post in the antivirus forum.
Try running the CleanWipe utility which you can get from support.

We've create a package for bit64 for Windows 7 and our SEP version is 11.0.5002.233.
I've tried to use cleanwipe but it always failed because of ProtectionUtilSurrogate. I've been trying to remove from taskmanager but everytime I attempt to remove or sylink, it always prompt. I am in admin account.
Can you provide us %temp%\sep_inst.log?

I've already solve the problem. Try to uninstall symantec, follow this link for manual uninstallation of symantec.

1. I've created a reg file on manual deletion of Symantec registry entries.
2. In Symantec Console, I've create new Symantec package for 64-bit OS.
3. Disable the simple file sharing
4. Install 64-bit Symantec.
Thanks
