  • 1.  how to replace SEP 11 with "old SAV 10.1" using SEPM

Hi, I have around 700 workstations loaded with SEP so far it everything is working fine but some changes here require to unistall SEP from those 700 and reinstall back the old SAV 10.1,  around 650 workstations are XP, the rest of the units are VISTA, the priority are on XP machines, i am planning to use the SEPM to install SAV10.1 or SAV10.2, i like to do this job silently and remotely via package, i wonder if SEPM will be able to remove SEP first and then install SAV, if not!  does any one know how can i uninstall SEP from this machien via script?

    thanks

    Hi,

In order to remove the SEP client from all these machines, you need to use a tool called as SEPPrep.exe.

This tool is provided in the CDs for Symantec Endpoint Protection.

It is used for removing third paarty ntivirus clients from computers remotely & silently.

I have posted a video for the same tool. I will update this post as soon as it is published.
