Status of job does not change to "Stopped" when Backup Destination is full when running backups using Backup Exec Continuous Protection Server (BECPS)

This is the exact scenario I am facing.

Data from the source volume exceeded the disk space on Destination Volume. That caused CPS to cancel the job and it shows exactly in the above mentioned document.

Destination Volume = 1.1TB
Source volume originally was 800GB, snapshot is taken once at midnight.

The source volume (remote server) data increased to 1.2 TB, the CPS job cancelled due to insufficient disk space in destination volume(local partition). Source volume has been reduced to 800GB again.

I have deleted snapshots older than 100 days. Started the job manually, still the same error and the destination disk is still full.

What needs to be done to get the CPS job started again?

Any guidance appreciated.

Backup Exec and Continuous Protection Server 10d.
