Hi Guys,
i having a problem, i Have a Windows 2003 Server and a Backup Exec 2010 R2
i am in a company that every week is made a backup of System State on a external Tape (SCSI) with Backup Exec.
I had a problem in my Active Directory and i want to restore using backup exec, but in a security mode the services don't work.
The Windows Backup Software can't detect my external tape. and i don't know what to do more.
Can i use in any mode Backup Exec to Restore my System State?? or it's impossible???

hi,
you would install the OS on a server along with the BE RAWS agent. once done, do a redirected restore of the system state and it should work!
you could also look at the AD agent for BE if you needed the restoration of individual items too!
thanks!
If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.
What's Backup Exec RAWS?? i have to download and install this?? and can i use on the same server with a problem??
??? RAWS = Remote Agent for Windows Servers! and for a media server to either backup from, or restore too a server, it needs to be installed on that!
If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.
and for i make a restore i have to use the computer on a security restore mode.
but the backup exec doesn't works... =(
