    Hello,

If you have all folders backed up,Please follow following steps:

    1. Stop the Symantec embedded database and SEPM service from services.msc.

    2. Rename the  following folder and files

    c:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db to db_new

c:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Server Private key backup to Server Private key backup_new

    c:\Program Files \Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\conf\server.xml to server.xml_new

    c:\Program Files \Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc\keystore.jks to keystore.jks_new

    3. Copy paste the backed up db folders(Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db and Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ServerPrivate key backup) as well as server.xml and keystore.jks in the above locations as we renamed the new ones

    4. Start the Symantec embedded database service

    5. Run management server configuration wizard and provide the dba password

    6. Login to the SEPM with all the setting same and clients will be online.

    Restore client communications

    1. Log on to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console.
    2. Click Admin.
    3. In the "System Administrator" pane, click Domains.
    4. Under "Tasks", click Add Domain.
    5. Click Advanced.

    6. Open the disaster recovery text file, select and copy the domain ID and then paste the domain ID into the "Domain ID" box.

    7. Click OK.
    8. Repeat this procedure for each domain to recover.
    9. Under "Tasks", click Administer Domain.
    10. Click Yes on the "Administer Domain" dialog box.
    11. Click OK.
    12. Restart all of the client computers.
Note: The computers appear in the Temporary group.

    13. If you use one domain only, delete the unused Default domain, and rename the newly created domain to Default.

I get the list of clients in "clients", but in  "home" and "monitors" ,  it seems that the reporting component is missing.surprise

No message appear at all, but I find that when I refresh the page, it appears that the SEPM is using port 8013 but my server port is 8011. It might be the old setting that I applied in the old database.  Would that be a problem or not? How to solve it or I still have to rescan all clients?

check the conf.properties under SEPM to know the port.

If it is changed, you should reconfigure the SEPM.
