You need to edit the liveupdate.conf file in Sacn Engine's install directory to either add a hosts line or edit the existing line to point to the clu-test directory on the server you installed the Liveupdate administrator on to.

From your liveupdate server you should be able to export a file to use with Java LiveUpdate.

Page 23 and 32 of the attached PDF should be helpful.

The host line in the liveupdate conf should be similar to the following

hosts/0/url=http://[ServerName or IP]:[port]/[path]

I can export the java Liveupdate. is the file liveupdt.hst need to be use or only change the file of liveupdate.conf

is it only add the hosts/0/url=http://[ServerName or IP]:[port]/[path] is ok or more config should be make. thanks

Yes, that's all that should need to be done. Is that not working for you?'s picture

if I move the file liveupdate xml to other folder. it become cannot update. I want to know it liveupdate xml or liveupdate.conf control the update

Do not move the .xml file. The .xml file is how the scan engine knows when to launch liveupdate which is then controlled by the liveupdate.conf.'s picture

if the .xml file in , it will update from the internet.

# LiveUpdate.conf

x.x.x.x is the liveupdate admin server ip

is the conf file ok. pls advise. thanks

the .conf file controls the source and JavaLiveupdate configuration. the .xml file is for the Scan Engine only and tells it when to run Java LiveUpdate and a couple other paratmeters that do not impact the source or location that JLU gets its updates, which is all from the .conf. Do not modify the XML.'s picture
