Check if antivirus is installed on the machine ( to which the external device is connected)
if its a 64bit box , u wont get the right click option to scan with virus.
symantec is working on this option for 64bit boxes.

If its a Terminal Server, it would not be seen...

    However, please confirm...

    Rafeeq is correct.

If logged in to the the machines in a RDP session, you might not receive the "Scan with Antivirus" Context menu.

However, when trying to Take a RDP, try taking RDP console and try again...

For taking a console session, check for Service pack.

If the Local machine form you are taking RDP has XP Service pack 3 or has Windows Vista then ,

    Start Run> mstsc/ admin

    and type the IP address.

    and let us know...

    Yes, Right.

It is confirmed that if its a Terminal Server, you would not have the "Scan with Antivirus" Context menu.

Hi, if you are connected to any machine via remote desktop, scan for virus option is not available.

    Check the following article

Context Menu "Scan for Viruses..." is missing if connected via Remote Desktop

    Thanks :-)

Ok,thank you for your answers.I was thinking that EPP don't permit to do that.
@mithun: I tried with RDP console and I had the same result.
so with RDP or RDP console,it is not possible to have scan options.

    thank all
