How to scan just the files on c:\, not the folders and subfolders?

I've got a user with a slower laptop.  She gets an occsional virus on the root somehow.

We are just moving to Symantec, so this might not be an issue.

In the past, we did a quick scan daily on slower laptops.  A full scan had too much impact when the user would occsionally pull out their laptop and use it.  A complete, full scan was rare.

I found the + and check box part of a custom scan, but the c:\ loses its check mark when I remove the checks from the folders.

Is there anyway to tell it to scan just files on c:\?  I didn't see anything like scan c:\*.* except for folders.
