How to set Backup Exec 2012 DLO option for optimal performance?

While testing DLO option found out that desktop agent slows the system. This is noticable because endpoint applications run slow and sometimes PC hangs for a while.
I think that some default settings causing this. Have you faced similar behavior of DLO and how did you fix it?

DLO does disk throttling, so that other applications can use resources optimally. We have not come across a case where DLO has slowed down the system’s performance.
Can we get more details on profile and other settings in end user environment which can help us to identify the issue?
Approximately 8-10 PCs with Windows 7 and some CRM. DLO settings are default.
What kind of settings should I give in more details to make the picture clear?

We tried to analyze this on 2 OS XP SP3 and Win 7 and below are our findings on it. We have a tech note which may improve the VSS backup performance and also improve machine performance as well.
