 Hello everybody,

As we have installed a Symantec endpoint protection manager in our office with a OS of Windows 2003 Server R2, and we have deployed all the clients in it.Now we are planning to change the existing server and restore the same clints in a new server, as the old server has low hard disk.So kindly guide me anybody as to how to proceed to this activity and what are the steps need to follow while doing this. as we are new to this SEP.
Our concern is that we want the same clients which are working in the present old server to the new server, without disturbing any clients updations or the configurations.Hoe\w to move clients from one server to another server.

Kindly guide us ................plz.. plz.... at the earliest
Thanks in advance for ur valuable guidance.  Regards,  Raghavendra.

hi, its not a big deal. You

hi,
its not a big deal. You follow the disaster recovery steps and move SEPM to different server (having enough space)and client will start communicating to the new SEPM server.

System Info

Hi,

Will the new Server have the same ip and the host name as the old server.

If that is the case we can perform disaster recovery without sylink replacement.
