Hi,
SEP for linux is introducted in SEP 12.1 RU5 release, SEP 12.1 RU6 is the latest release & I would recommend to test with the latest release.
Please check "Installation of SEP For Linux(12.1 Ru5) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux" Video

I don't believe this was on option with SAV
Hello, I 've also installed the latest version but still i am facing same issue. New version also taking same amount of CPU usagae as old version.
Is there anyway we can turn off rescan cache on linux?

Hello,
Is there anyway we can reduced the cpu usage while doing the the manual scan?
You can try the steps given in this article: System performance slows when SEP Linux is installed
Thanks Chetan !!
Also i have a one more question. Do you now how to set the rule. I want run the scan with lower priority so that it doesn't hog too much CPU/memory resources. Help would be appreciated.
I don't see anything specific to lower down the priority but you can customize options for administrator-defined scans (scheduled and on-demand scans) that run on Linux computers. You can also customize options for Auto-Protect as well.
