Hello,

I am new to SEP 11 Management Administrative tasks. Trying to get acquainted with this portal, and am having trouble turning ON Tamper Protection.

1. I log into SEPM, go to Monitors, click on the tab Logs, click on Advanced Settings, click on Compliance Options and finally click on Tamper Protection Off before I press View Log

2. However, when I click on "View Logs", the drop-down Command does have the option to turn tamper protection on

Please tell me how to run a command to turn tamper protection ON, as I don't see it listed anywhere.

Tamper Protection is not installed/compatible on 64 bit OS.
Older Version of SEPM shows Tamper Protection Off in SEPM HOme page.
Upgrade to MR5 or MR4MP2 to get the right info that its not installed.

Hello,

I navigated to general settings, and below screen shot indicates that tamper protection is on for all computers

tamper_protection_on.jpg

Yet, the monitor shows that 281 computers have Tamper Protection off:

Kindly point me in the right direction

It looks you have 281 64bit machines. Tamper Protection will be off on 64 bit OS. As it does not get installed on them.

In MR4MP2 and MR5 it won't show Tamper Protection off , it will show Tamper Protection not Installed.

I ran a report once and was surprised by the number of 64 bit machines a lot of our students were using.  By default, most systems with more then 3 GB of RAM come with a 64 bit OS now.
