how to uninstall existing Antivirus (Sophos) using SEPM 12.1 RU1 MP1
Hi,
I have installed SEPM 12.1 RU1 MP1 (SEPM Version 12.1.1101.401) in my netowrk, however I do have sophos antivirus runining on my clients and am trying to use SEPPrep tool to uninstall Sophos and install SEP client from the SEP Management console. I have exported the client from the console. I have followed the instrustions from the following link:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/downloads/sepprep
but when am trying to import the package am getting error like I cannot delete as this is the latest package in SEPM
I am stuck on the step 6 of SEPPrep.pdf file viz
6. (Optional) Now you can import this new updated client package into SEPM. Note: this can only be done if you have not already installed this version of the SEP client in the SEPM database. If you have already installed this version of the client into SEPM then you will need to remove the package in SEPM first. If this is the latest package in SEPM then you cannot delete it from SEPM. In this case use a slightly older or a slightly newer SEP client package (such as an updated MP release) so that you can import it into the SEPM database.
Kindly suggest me the solution to fix this issue. Also does this version of SEPM installs SEP client on Windows 8 PCs? (I dont need the info for support or not, just can I deploy the client from SEPM)
Regards
Abdul Majeed.

Any employee from Symantec can help me in this regards?? I just need to uninstall sophos 10.x using SEPM 12.1
Hi Abdul,
Why don't you create SEP prep package using SEP 12.1 RU1(12.1.1000.157) instead of SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1(12.1.1101.401)
If you don't have RU1 package then download it from https://fileconnect.symatec.com
