  • 1.  How to update clients

    Hello all,

Please pardon the seemingly simple nature of this question.  After searching for about an hour, I decided to just ask.

I am new to SEP 12.1.5.  I have recently updated to this version from 12.1.3.  I have read through a lot of the 500+ pages to get a handle on how this product works with the Manager.

I am looking to do what use to be, should be very simple tasks.  We are completely Active Directory integrated with SEP.

    1.  Create a system wide install bundle to install through SCCM or ZCM.  I just want to automate an install during imaging process.

    2.  With the 150 or so system that we currently have registered, is there a way to "Update" the client versions?  I have found that I can manually, one by one, update each individual client, but what a pain.

    3.  Is there a way to automatically install/update the SEP client for devices that are in certain containers?  We have a number of devices that have been "installed" into AD without any protection at all.

Even if someone can point me to articles on how to do this, I am good.  I do know how to read and follow directions....:)

    Sincerely,

    Tom

If you have SCCM this will be the easiest way by far.

You can however use the SEPM and its built-in auto-upgrade feature. You just assign an install package to the group and let the SEPM do the rest. This should take care of your points 2 and 3.

Hi ,upgrade your manager to 12.1.5 , create a package and install it via SCCM, no need to specify any swith , just point out to setup.exe ( silent switch is already inside the package you create using the document below)
