I use Symantec enpoint protection 11.0.2000.1567 and I need to update it. How do I go about doing this wihtout license numbers etc. The Navy lets you download it at work and use it at home for free. It is killing hard drive space, here C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition\7.5 and I think an update may cure this problem

Choose the version from the drop down you want (thats MR4) then from the list you want MR2 MP2 to MR4 client package, either 32 or 64 bit, depending on your OS.

Thanks. I loaded the file in the Nortons Symantec folder, executed it and then I rebooted. It still shows it as 11.0.2020.56

Is that right?

Maybe you should address the problem with your corrupt virus definitions rather than trying to upgrade the product.

the large number of files in your docs and settings folder would indicate there is a problem, most likely with corrupt definitions, but MR4 also fixes some key issues which could result in that occurring.

Did you run the executable on your machine with admin rights?  It should upgrade the client from 2010 to 4000 to start with, then if you run the MP1 executable after that, it will upgrade it to 4010.
