    Hello Everyone

    We are currently using Symantec Scan engine 5.2.14 on Linux Based Platform ( RHEL 6.0) , ICAP as client.

    We received notification from Symantec to upgarde to Symantec Protection Engine 7.0 ,Since  Scan Engine will be supported until the 1st July 2014.

    Is it possible to upgrade from Scan engine 5.2 to Protection Engine 7.0, whether the previous settings will be remained on client/server side.

    If possible then please share the steps for the upgade also .

    Should be a seamles upgrade, running the new sh installer will prompt you to upgrade or install.  Choose upgrade :)
