If my SEPM are running on replication, do i have to remove the replication 1st before the upgrade or i can go ahead to upgrade with the primary sepm followed by the replica?

My Lan enforcer running on version 12.1 and is connected to my SEPM, do i have to break the connection 1st before i run the upgrade on my sepm?

    Thanks

    yes, delete replication.

    Disable replication
If your site uses replication, you must disable replication before upgrading Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager. You must disable replication at each site that replicates.

    Enable local authentication
If Symantec Network Access Control is in use, then enable Local Authentication prior to migration.

    Hello,

Here is the Overview of the migration process -

Migration to the current version of Symantec Endpoint Protection includes the following steps in order:
    1. Create a migration plan
    2. Backup up the database
    3. Disable replication
    4. Enable local authentication
    5. Disable "Protect client files and registry keys" Application Control Policy
    6. Stop the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service
    7. Upgrade the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
    8. Enabling replication after migration
    9. Upgrade the Symantec Endpoint Protection Clients

Hope that helps you understand the process of Migration.

    Hello,

In this case you can provide the SEP client package to the user either manually or via a shared network OR

Deploy the Unmanaged Package to those machines if these machines are in reach via Migration and Deployment Wizard.

    Hope that helps!!

Thanks Mithum, but... so i need to reinstall the full package in each unmanaged client?

I can't use the patch to upgrade it or to upgrade the installation package?... excuse me if it's a common question but i'm new on SEP.

    Thanks in advance again,

    A.
