I need to upgrade SEPM 12.1.5 (12.1 RU5, build 5337 ,12.1.5337.5000) to SEPM 12.1.6. Please provide me any tuotorial or guide me how to upgrade existing SEPM without and data loss.

You can upgrade latest SEPM 12.1.6.1

12.1.6 MP1a is the latest version it was just released this week to address a cert issue.

After successful SEPM upgrade, upgrade SEP clients using Auto upgrade method but you must test the AutoUpgrade process before you attempt to upgrade a large number of clients in your production network. If you do not have a test network, you can create a test group. You can add a few non-critical clients to the test group and upgrade them by using AutoUpgrade. You can confirm the upgrade completed successfully by verifying the version number of the client software that appears in the About dialog box.

Do you have multiple SEPM's? Are there any replication setup?

One more question. On the Symatec FileConnect download site I see following two files and which one should I download for my upgrade.

Symamtec_Endpoint_Protection_12_.1.6_MP1a_Full_Installation_EN.exe

or

Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.6_MP1a_SEPM_EN.exe.

I bet it is the second one but I just want to make sure.

The second one contains only the SEPM upgrade.

The first contains EVERYTHING, uncluding the SEPM upgrade...client installs, docs, etc.

I would suggest to download first one because it contains everything that you may need in future.
