How to verify SMSMSE is scanning ZIP compressed attachments

I hope this is not a dumb question, but I have the latest 6.0.10 version running on Exchange Server 2003.  I believe the default settings are in place.  I would assume this is on by default, but how can I verify in the SMSMSE interface if the scanning of attachments, including compressed files (ZIP) are being scanned by the Auto-Protect engine?

Thank you very much for your help.

There is no option for this

There is no option for this becuase its not something you can turn off. It is automatic. You could theoratically turn it off by setting the unscannable condition for number of levels to 0, but that would include any other files with multiple levels such as Office documents.

The easiest way to test this is to download eicar2.zip from eicar.org. This is a double-zipped test file that will be detected by Mail Security for Exchange when it is emailed to you from anywhere.
