HP 2530p ICH9 Driver injection
I have an issue with imaging HP2530p laptops.
1. The job we have to image these boots to WinPE and drops the image onto the laptop.
2. HIIS then injects the drivers onto the machine.
3.At this point the machine reboots and Windows XP loads all the drivers and restarts.
The issue I have with the 2530 is that the SATA Mode is set to AHCI and as soon as step 2 is finished and the machine reboots it blue screens.
I have set the SATA mode to IDE and that works but then I have to manually load the ICH9 drivers and reset the SATA mode to AHCI due to an issue with the laptop not coming out of standby when the SATA mode is IDE.
I have trawlled through thse forums and the web for answers but have found no way of getting round the manual intervention without creating a new image. (A new image is out of the question as it is the same image we use for all our laptops and desktops)
Can someone please help I've tried using some of the scripts posted on here but cannot get them to work.
From what you describe, it
From what you describe, it sounds as though you may be missing an entry for the Mass Storage driver in your Syspmsd.inf file. On our upload job, we have set it to use sysprep then set the Mass storage section file to point to a custom created file that has all of our computer model mass storage drivers in it. I do not know how HIIS works exactly, as I have manually set up hardware independant imaging, but I would take a look at you image upload job and see what is there.
