  • 1.  HP Folio 13 - 2000 Notebook PC Preboot issues.

    Hello. I have some issues relating to the new frolio 13 -2000 ultrabook. When I try to use PXE to deploy and image to this I get something like, unable to contact dhcp server attempt 1,2,3,4,5,6

    I have added the below Realtek drivers to settings > driver management. I have added the x86 drivers to the x86 WinPE preboot image

    I have added the x64 drivers to the x64 WinPE preboot image.

    I have extracted the .exe for the above driver from the extracted directories:

    C:\swsetup\sp55663\WIN7\32

    C:\swsetup\sp55663\WIN7\64

    After that I have done a settings > create preboot configurations. Chosen 'Recreate Preboot Environment' for both preboot images x86/x64

    Then clicked update on the client on the deployment server.

    Computer manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
    Model: HP Folio 13 - 2000 Notebook PC
    Processor count: 1
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2467M CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.6 GHz
    RAM: 4096 MB

    Please can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this?

    I think you need to use Vista drivers for WinPE 2.1, the default for DS 6.9 and 7.1.

    Sorry, no. Your best bet is to look for other slightly older HP models that might have the same Realtek network card, or at least one from the same family. Realtek may have drivers too.

    For future reference, I'd be VERY wary of downloading drivers from anywhere other than the PC or device manufacturer's site.
