Hi,

I'm currently running DS 6.9 and am using the IBM scripting toolkit to build IBM servers.  We now need to start using Altiris for HP servers and it appears as though the Rapid Deployment Pack (RDP) is what HP/Symantec reccomend for this.  Does anyone know if the RDP will integrate into my DS server or do I need to run it on a separate server?

Thanks

Autorun

Hi,

You should be able to get them to integrate. However you have to be sure that the RDP version that you install contains the same or later version of Deployment Solution. Also please notice that you have to use Autorun from the RDP installation media. A nother thing is that the licenses from RDP are only to be used on HP hardware. This being said if you want to deploy virtual machines on your HP hardware, you can use RDP licenses as well.

RDP 3.83 uses Deployment Solution 6.9 SP1 and MP1 (Build 6.9.635)
RDP 6.0 uses Deployment Solution 6.9 SP3

I hope this helps! And please be sure to read the license agreements very carefully.
