  • 1.  HP xw8600 broadcom error

    Hello,

     

    So it seems to be an known issue when loading a winPE (boot disc) on to a HP xw8600 workstation. When trying to load it will give an BSOD (as shown in the picture) http://i37.tinypic.com/10qxxr7.jpg .

     

    We currently have 2 models of these HP;'s and the xw8400 works fine but the xw8600 bluescreens. When I tried to make my own template, I get a windows repair error (missing iastor.sys is missing or corrupt). So I'm at my wits here :)

    As article suggests you need to download latest broadcom driver and import it to Winpe using Ghost boot wizard, Winpe editor. Select Winpe, click 'edit', select Winpe you want to edit and 'edit' again. Then import driver and make sure it is checked in. Also try removing all storage drivers that you dont need, some may cause problems if hardware is not present.
