  • 1.  .htm files and Netshare

We have a Netshare protected folder on a Sharepoint 2007 environment. We upload files in explorer mode to ensure they become encrypted.

This works well for most file types but we have found 2 problems with .htm type files.

    1. We have not found a way to get the files decrypted. Opening the file either in explorer mode or from sharepoint just gives the encrypted contents.

    2. We run the command line utility pgpnetshare to check if any files in the folder are not encrypted. All .htm files are reported as not not encrypted.

Is there anyway of getting these .htm files decrypted - we have just over 50 files of this type?

How should html files be stored in a Netshare protected sharepoint environment.

    We are using version 10.1

Did you happen to see our documentation regarding Sharepoint 2007 support and PGP Netshare?

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH149253

    It says here:

Currently .mht files are not supported when using PGP NetShare WebDAV support with the Microsoft SharePoint Server.

mht=Microsoft html so I assume this has the same limitations
