httpdDir attribute of Apache resource
Hi Experts,
I am using VCS 6.0 and Redhat 6.1. I configured an Apache Servicegroup and I could able bring it up. I am not facing any issue but want to check with you whether I have done anything wrong or not.
The apache is installed bydefault in /etc/httpd dir on all my nodes. That means Apache is using local storage. That's why I have not added mount and diskgourp resource in the Apache Servicegroup. I only added Apache resource, IP resource and NIC resource. Please let me know if it is not recommended?
The Apache configuration file is /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file. I specified this value for ConfigFile attribute of Apache resource. The bundled agent docs says following for the httpdDir attribute.
Full path of the Apache HTTP server binary file or full path of the directory in which the httpd binary file is located. Type and dimension: string-scalar Example: "/apache/server1/bin"
I searched for the httpd binary and found that it is present in /usr/sbin. so I specified /usr/sbin as a value for httpdDir attribute of Apache resource . Is it correct? Actualy intially i was thinking that I should specify /etc/httpd value because it is home dir for Apache application.
Thanks a lot in advance.
