Hello,
i'm testing backup exec with the trial version on a server 2003 (media server) and want to backup a hyper V cluster and a scvmm.
I have remote installed the agent on all machines (hyperv1 hyperv2 scvmm) and the only machine i can see in the ressource list is the scvmm.
I cannot se the hyper-v cluster or the hyperv1 or 2.
is there any other thing that i have to configure ?
best regards
Andreas

The Agent for Hyper-V is installed!
And if the agent is not installed i also should see the systems in the ressource list...
refer the following
Please refer to the following technotes to configure backups of Hyper-V in Cluster:

the vhd mounter is installed.
Also you need to install .Vhd mounter on media server?
If media server is running win 2003..you need to install .vhd mounter for Hyper V backups to work
Refer: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH64781

Is it the Hyper-v host itself
Is it the Hyper-v host itself is not detected or only the Cluster is not detected?
If the host itself is not detected, check if it is detected under the Domains or try to add it under the user defined selections. May be an issue with trust relationship between the agents if it is 2010 R3.
If only the clustered resources are not detected, you need to Add the Backup Exec Service Account (BESA) to the Hyper-V Cluster and Cluster Nodes and give full control. Follow this article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH145913

Hello,
thanks for your answer, the hypver-v hosts are not detected and the cluster is also not detected.
hm, i can't add the domain to the userdefined selection.
the media server is a work group machine, the hyper-v hosts are domain machines, but i have added a user account with domain/enterprise admin rights and logon as a batch job and network service rights. do i need special rights to connect to the domain?
the scvmm is also in the domain and it works fine.
how can i test the trust relationship? when i roll out the client the relationship is automaticly configured.
when i install the agend manualy i configured the relationship mannualy and there is no error.
The Problem is solved. i have
The Problem is solved.
