This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi All,

My media server is Win2008 R2 and im running BE 2010 R3. I have a hyper-v installed on a Win2008 R2 Server CORE. After putting in all my licenses (including hyper-v license), i cannot see the Hyper-V node in my BE GUI's backup selection screen. I have install RAWS on the hyper-v host as well as the guest OS. Is there anything I need to do to make the hyper-v node show up?

Thanks all in advance.

Regards,

Chee Keong

Hi

PLease esnure in network log on account you are using the account as domain\username

Account is part of domain admin & Administrators group

Also ensure on hyperv server go to admin tools-local security policy & local policy-user right assignment- & make sure that user is added in log on as batch job

Please let me know your hyperv name is of how many character

Please check the link below for same & see if you have same situation

Re

Hello ,

Is Your Hyper-V Clustered?

If So Expand the Cluster Node to see the Hyper-V VM's.

Ensure that the Hyper- V Licence is Installed under the Help -> About -> Licence Information

Hyper-V Licenced: Yes Installed: Yes

Something that just worked

Something that just worked for me:

Add the Backup Exec account to the Local Admin group of Hyper-V host server.

This has worked for me on 3-4 occassions.

Thanks,
