Hi John,
What error is MsiInstaller giving in the Windows Application Event logs?
Can you find the MSI log and see what errors are in there?
With thanks and best regards,

This problem occurs only for Windows XP SP3
Now try all the suggested options
MsiInstaller giving during installation Fatal error
Hi John,
The MsiInstaller log itself will be the key to this, but the exact text from the Event Logs may give an indication in the right direction. Can you copy that into this thread?
With thanks and best regards,
Mick
MsiInstaller log no errors
I do not know what to do.Now try to manually delete
After the uninstall attempt, look in %TEMP% for the log.
With thanks and best regards,

Hi,
Download windows cleanup utility & remove Symatec Endpoint protection.MSI file.
Hello,
Are you able to manually uninstall SEP from the machine? How many machines are you facing this issue on?
Are there any GPO policies applied? Hope you are uninstalling the softwares with proper rights.
Try considering this Option as well -

Try using an uninstaller if cleanwipe has failed.
Some uninstallers liks "Revo uninstaller" has a hunter mode. You use that to target the uninstall you want and it should be able to remove the remaining files/folders and registry keys left over by a failed/botched install/uninstall.
My MSI Log After an unsuccessful attempt to remove
Here is the point of failure:
You can get around that by disabling the BASH service, rebooting, and then performing the uninstall again.
Let me know if that succeeds! &: )
