Uninstall went smooth. No problems, until I tried to install SEP SBE12.1   It's very frustrating that it saying its still there when it isn't.  I've got 50+ computers and I'm stuck right out of the gate on a project that needed to be done yesterday of course.  So I tried TM's manual removal, Symantec's suggestions (btw no one will talk to you when you're on a trial, its like sitting in coach when all your friends are in first class).  I tried cleaning the registry of every trace of Trend Micro, cleaning the computer, doublechecking everywhere for hidden directories, deleted from the server, nothing. I rebooted every hour by the way.. nothin. Any help or suggestions is more than appreciated.  I really don't want to return this product, but if I can't get around this preinstall BS, I'm done with Symantec....

Run the symhelp tool on the system to see what it comes back with

Download the Symantec Help (SymHelp) diagnostic tool to detect Symantec product issues

SEP can be picky though when a third party AV had previously been installed:

Check the the %temp% directory for a SEP_INST.log file, if there post it here for review.

Required logs for troubleshooting failed Endpoint Protection 12.1 client installations

Have you tried the SEP pre tool? Used for uninstalling competitors products ready to install SEP.

Should be avialble in the install clients tools section
