We have a couple dozen VM servers, and several non-VM servers. For most I'm having no problem at all installing v10.x. When I do so, I am logged on as the domain admin. But I have this one server...
We have the contents of the installation CD on our network, so when I log on the necessary files are available. When I try to run setup from top directory, as if I had the CD mounted, I get an error. If I go down into the "CD" directory, I get an error. If I go down into the "SAV" directory I get an error. All the errors are the same:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
As far as I can tell, I do it the same on all my servers. ( They're all WS2k3 Std ed, sp2. )
I've tried searching this forum for a solution, but I don't seem to know how to ask correctly. I either get way too little or WAY too much in return.
If someone could provide a solution, or at least point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.
