I have a certificate that has to be installed, if the symantec installation bar rolls back during the process.

Please provide logs again file are corrupted.

    I have a certificate that has to be installed, if the symantec installation bar rolls back during the process that certificate is for Windows XP.I need a simialr certficate for Windows 2008 server R2

    Its not a certificate error, the bar rolls reverse during the installation. It happens in XP, i have  a KB for that, do you have a windows 2008 r2's KB link??

    The article you gave, thnanks. That is were I used for XP, any other link for 2008 R2?..I have searched in Windows sites to narrow them, not avaible for 2008 R2...

    KB931125 is only applicable to Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 because those systems did NOT support automatic updating of the Root Certificates store.

    Its been told striclty in the disussion not to install thet KB in 200 R2...I have to find another solution then?

    What exact sep client do you have try to install ?

    also you can run windows update and install all patch.

    Please post sep_inst log ?

    its the same process. run windows update and fully patch the machine it should fix it.

    What could happen if I install the KN for windows XP on server 2008 R2, though this is not a Symantec question, if you could help be it will be better.

    That patch not installed saying some platform error or not required.

     

    Same error received you ca run manually windows update.

    ScriptGen: ShowServiceProgress() Look for timeout starting SepMasterService or other failure loading SIS.dll.
