  • 1.  I have SEP and Symantec mail security for dominos server

    HI,

     

    I have SEP and Symantec mail security for dominos server right now i have problem with SEP where it is not opening and if i try to perform repair installation it roll back unable to do a fresh install with a new package.  It doesnt have symantec live update installed.

     

    operating system : windows server 2003

    When you try to install what is the error you get.

    Go to start and type Run

    In Run window type %temp%

    Look for a file called SEP_Inst.log

    In the log file search for Return Value 3

    Copy and paste 6-7 lines before this line

    Get all the instance of Return Value 3

    hi,

    you can run cleanwipe tool which will remove only symantec antivirus products

    it will not remove your mail server.

    Once when the tool is completed uninstalling the product you can go ahead with the re-installation of product.

    It will work... Cheers!!!!
