Is there a step by step solution on  what i need to do to see if any traces of sep client is installed on machines or servers in my network. I believe this would be in the software management category. I don't want to install any plug in or management agent. I just want to see if i can discover machines that has traces of sep antivirus client installed. We are moving away from symantec antivirus to something else. What are the step by step instructions. And again i don't need to see every single software a desktop or server has, just if i can do a query for machines in my domain that has sep client.

    Thanks

Having the Symantec Management Platform installed alone is not enough. You would need the symantec management agent installed on these computers so that the SMP can tell these computers to gather inventory data. For best results you should install the Symantec Endpoint Protection Integration Component which comes with an 'Antivirus Inventory' task. This task will gather the information you need, but the computers must have the Symantec Management Agent installed and communicating to your server.
