This issue has been solved. See solution.

How are you?  Hopefully you're well.  I just installed Norton 2011 Anti virus for my home computer.  I did a complete scan and when I reviewed the results I noticed that I had a virus called Trojan.Malscript!html.  My software told me that I had to remove it manually myself.  I tried to do this, but every time I tried it told me that I didn't have the Admin. privileges.  I'm the only user and I'm the Admin. on this computer.  What should I do?  What will this virus do to my computer?  Thanks, Dave

Before scanning in Safe-mode,

Before scanning in Safe-mode, delete all your temporary files, run a Disk Cleanup (right-click the C drive, Properties, Disk Cleanup) - that will delete all the files that are in these temporary locations, as well as IE's temporary files, etc.

If that fails to remove the threat, Symantec provides the Power Eraser Tool to remove deeply embedded malware and virus's that normal AV cannot always detect.
