I cannot figure out how to start a new one.

    Can someone tell me how?

Or even better, Windows installer cannot uninstall endpoint. Is there another way anyone knows of?

    Thanks,

    Paul.

I moved you over to the proper forum.

Here is a KB that may help you.

Manual uninstallation documents for Symantec Endpoint Protection

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH96924&locale=en_US

If that fails, you may need the Cleanwipe tool to remove the product completely. You will need to open a support case to get the tool.

    Best,

    Thomas

    Hi,

Stop/disable windows installer service through services.msc & then try to unistall SEP.

    Cleanwipe is also good option.

Cleanwipe would be the way to go.

Thanks to you all. Before I got all the cleanwipe recommendations I followed the manual uninstall instructions suggested by Thomas.

It took a while! A hell of a lot of files to delete etc. Got there in the end.

Out of interest, is cleanwipe a symantec product designed for the job of uninstalling symantec products? Or does it have wider uses? Is it free?

Thanks for the time you took to respond :-)
